Delhi’s second instalment of car-free day, to be observed later this month in Dwarka, will witness a cycle rally, a human chain and other forms of participation by bureaucrats belonging to both the IAS and DANICS ranks.
Organised with an aim to encourage the residents to choose public transportation over their personal vehicles, the government has decided to observe the second car-free day in Dwarka on November 22.
Transport Minister Gopal Rai said the event would be held on Road No. 202 in Dwarka between Sector 3-13 and Sector 7-9, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. — an extension of nearly four hours from its instalment between the Red Fort and Tilak Lane on October 22.
