1.  Ram Nath Kovind sworn-in as 36th Governor of Bihar Acting Chief Justice of Patna High Court Iqbal Ahmed Ansari administered him the oath of office and secrecy as per provisions of Article 159 of Constitution. Mr. Kovind will succeed Keshri Nath Tripathi (Governor of West Bengal) who was holding additional charge of Bihar.
2.  India-US Combined Military Training Exercise YUDH ABHYAS 2015 will be held from 9th September 2015 at Joint Base Lewis McChord in United States. It was announced Union Defence Ministry in New Delhi. This exercise will be the 11th edition of such event in the Yudh Abhyas series.

3.  India has imposed definitive anti-dumping duty for period of five years on Potassium Carbonate imports from Taiwan and South Korea. The duty was imposed by Union Finance Ministry based on the recommendations of the Directorate General of Anti-Dumping Duty (DGAD) that works under the aegis of Union Commerce Ministry.

4.  Union Government has launched a seven pronged plan called Indradhanush Mission to revamp functioning of public sector banks (PSBs). It was launched by Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in New Delhi.
