It’s final: Every Tuesday to be Car-Free Day in Gurgaon

First, it was meant to be a weekly affair: every Tuesday would be a car-free day in Gurgaon. But at the end of the first Car-Free Day, last Tuesday, police commissioner Navdeep Singh Virk said he would put the event on hold for four weeks, do more background work, finetune operations, and start with the weekly event from October.

But on Thursday, he announced that there will be no four-week break. So, next Tuesday, and all Tuesdays after that, will be car-free in Gurgaon. However, cops will remain focused on the same four corridors as earlier: DLF Cyber City, Cyber Park, Golf Course Road and Electronic City in Udyog Vihar.
