1. Rebel BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha, who has been at unease with the party leadership, on Tuesday virtually dared the party to take action against him.

2.  International airfares are on the rise as the rupee is falling at a time when students from India fly abroad to join foreign universities, leading to a surge in demand for air travel. Travel professionals say higher airfares and weak rupee could impact outbound tourism significantly in coming months or alter the holiday habits of the middle-class Indian globetrotter.

3.  Foreign minister Sushma Swaraj said Tuesday that India will remain committed to the Palestinian cause even as it builds ties with Israel. On a visit to Egypt, Swaraj said India had strong interests in the Arab world and was committed to its various causes. 

4.  A government task force has recommended changes in the existing drug price regulation which could result in a spike in prices of essential medicines. These include suggestions to pull several medicines out of price control, which is likely to impact drugs used in treatment of diabetes, cancer and cardiovascular diseases as well as antibiotics.
